Source Brewing to open four-story Manayunk location in 19th century bank

Source Brewing is planning to open its third location in the fall of 2025 at 4334 Main St. in Manayunk, in a 19th century 10,000 square-foot building that spans four stories. The new brewery and restaurant joins Source Brewing locations in Colts Neck, New Jersey, and Fishtown. Each is run by 'Shark Tank' alum Philip Petracca, his wife Keri Petracca and business partner and brewer Greg Taylor.

Jorō spiders likely are coming to Philly. But it may take them years to arrive, and there's no need to panic

The Jorō spider, an invasive species that first spotted in northern Georgia 10 years ago, is likely to migrate to the Northeast in time, but scientists say the spiders aren't harmful to humans or their pets. And despite some media reports, the spiders don't actually fly. Rather, spiderlings use a process known as ballooning to travel through the air.

Arrest made in Ocean City boardwalk stabbing that occurred over Memorial Day weekend

A juvenile has been charged with attempted murder and related offenses for a stabbing that injured a 15-year-old boy on the Ocean City boardwalk on Saturday, May 25. The stabbing occurred over a chaotic Memorial Day weekend at the shore. Wildwood declared a state of emergency due to unruliness on its boardwalk.

Counting steps may be just as beneficial as tracking physical activity by time

Meeting fitness goals based on step counts or time spent working out are similarly beneficial, a new study finds. They both were linked to reduced risk of heart disease and all-cause mortality, researchers found. Exercise guidelines are typically given in time durations, but researchers said it may be helpful to also advise step-count goals.
