People who drink three cups of coffee or tea each day have a lower the risk of developing multiple metabolic diseases like type 2 diabetes, coronary heart disease and stroke at once, a new study found. People who consume 200-300 milligrams of caffeine – about 2-3 cups of coffee – also have a reduced risk.

Police vehicles damaged after car meetups take place across Philadelphia, authorities say

Saturday night into Sunday morning, large crowds gathered at illegal car meetups across Philadelphia, including in front of City Hall and the Philadelphia Museum of Art, authorities say. The crowds set off fireworks and did donuts with their vehicles, and multiple police cars were damaged. No arrests have yet been announced.

St. Joe's 'Original Hawk' Jim Brennan leaves behind legacy of connectedness, school spirit and continuous flapping

James 'Jim' Brennan died on June 21 at the age of 91. The former Marine and cheerleader came up with the idea for the St. Joseph's University mascot, the Hawk, and its continuous flapping. Through the years, he's remained connected with his alma mater while also working as a nursing home administrator.
