UPDATE [7:58 p.m.] – A postgame update on Brown:

Better news, but something to monitor as the week goes on.

UPDATE [5:15 p.m.] – An early positive on Brown's knee:

The Eagles receiver is still questionable.

EARLIER...

A.J. Brown down on the turf and clutching at his leg was one of the last things the Eagles needed to see.

Facing a 2nd and 9 at New York's 27 late in the first quarter, Brown ran a shallow post route that quarterback Jalen Hurts hit him with the pass on in stride, but the ball was knocked free after a couple of steps with Brown falling forward to the ground.

The Giants recovered the football with the ruling a fumble. Brown laid there grabbing his leg as trainers rush to tend to him.

He got up and walked off the field on his own power, but with a limp, then headed to the locker room soon after.

The current status from the Eagles is a knee injury for Brown. He is questionable to return.

As a top receiver alongside DeVonta Smith, who was also ruled out beforehand with an ankle injury suffered from last week's loss against the Cardinals, the prospect of going without Brown into the playoffs is pretty dire straights for an offense that has failed to look anywhere close to the juggernaut it was all of last season.

This is a developing story...
