New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie, the most unpopular governor in America, thinks CBS should suspend "The Late Show" host Stephen Colbert for a series of jokes insulting President Donald Trump.
Christie said as much to Star-Ledger reporter Matt Arco, who reported the governor's views on Twitter.
.@GovChristie says @StephenAtHome has "lost it" over his recent Trump rant. Should be suspended, he says.

Christie, a Trump supporter ever since his own presidential bid failed, joins a number of Conservatives who've lashed out at Colbert for his rant, which included saying Trump "has more people marching against you than cancer" and that the only thing his mouth is good for "is being Vladimir Putin’s c--- holster."
Ironic that what may end #StephenColbert's career at @CBS is not a truly vile attack on a sitting president, but that it was #homophobic...

Will there be consequences for Stephen Colbert's obscene attack on the president last night, or even any comment from CBS?

Specifically regarding the Putin comment, some have labeled the joke homophobic and called for Colbert's firing.
In his insult-ridden monologue Monday night, Colbert was responding to Trump calling CBS co-worker John Dickerson part of the "fake" news media and naming his show "de-Face the Nation" during an interview.
