The changing of the guard at Sportsradio 94WIP continues to take form as the station revealed Monday it has hired Jon Marks, formerly a morning host at rival 97.5 The Fanatic, to take over evenings from 6 p.m.-10 p.m.

Marks had been at 97.5 for a decade, serving first as producer for Mike Missinelli's afternoon show and then stepping in to co-host the station's morning show. He remained in that slot, most recently alongside former WIP mainstay Anthony Gargano, until he elected to leave The Fanatic near the end of his contract last September.
“Jon's talent, relationship to Philadelphia sports fans, and history in the marketplace will be a huge addition to WIP," said program director Spike Eskin. "We're thrilled to have him aboard."
Bringing on Marks will mean the end of evenings hosted by Brian Haddad, somehow affectionately known as "Sludge," who joined the station in 2012 and took over nights as WIP reshuffled its lineup for short-lived afternoon host Josh Innes. Haddad will stay on as WIP's creative services director.
Marks follows Joe DeCamara, now WIP's mid-morning host alongside Jon Ritchie, in migrating from 97.5 to rival 94.1. His show will debut Tuesday night at 6 p.m.
“It's an exciting time in Philadelphia sports and I couldn't be more thrilled to be in charge of the airwaves every night on WIP," Marks said in a statement. "I'd like to thank Spike and market manaeger David Yadgaroff for this opportunity. I can't wait to get started.”
