Runners.

When The Philly 10K winds its way through Center City on Sunday, August 30, local runners will be powering through the 6.2-mile course in hopes of running the fastest time or beating their personal best. Their friends and families will cheer them on, but with a long, winding course and plenty of road closures, it might not be clear where the best viewing spots are located.

The race's start and finish are located close to each other at 8th and South streets and 5th and Pine streets, respectively, making the Society Hill neighborhood a great place to watch.

There will also be sponsored cheering sections at the following locations:

ACME Cheer ZoneE. Passyunk Ave. between Reed & Dickinson

BeWellPhilly Cheer ZoneChestnut St. between 12th & 13th

T-Mobile Cheer ZoneNorth-West corner of Washington Square (at Walnut & 7th)

As for road closures, the Philly 10K has outlined where you should not be parking before and during the race. The best way to get to the course to cheer on your pals is to take public transportation. After the race, you'll find runners at a festival taking place until 11 a.m. along South Street.
