Philadelphia police are seeking the public's help identifying and locating the suspects wanted in connection with a daylight road-rage shooting in West Philly that injured a 22-year-old man.
Law enforcement officials said they learned about the incident when, on Sunday, Nov. 1, at about 2:29 p.m., officers in the city's 16th District responded to a radio call of a “person with a gun” on the 400 block of N. 38th St.
When officers arrived, police said they met with a 22-year-old man who had sustained a gunshot wound to the right foot.
According to police, the victim and two witnesses, a 48-year-old man and a 55-year-old woman, were driving north on 38th Street when the victim was involved in an argument with two unknown males operating a silver or light gray 2004 Mitsubishi van with factory tint.
Video of the vehicle can be seen here:
Police said that the victim and occupants then began arguing when a passenger exited the van and fired one gunshot, striking the victim in the right foot.
Police said witnesses immediately saw the victim begin to bleed, while the suspects returned to their vehicle then fled.
Police said they were last seen driving north on 38th Street.
The victim, police said, was transported to Presbyterian Hospital, where he was treated for his injuries.
Law enforcement officials described the gunman as a black man in his late-20s to 30s, about 6 feet tall and 190 pounds with a medium build, a beard but no mustache and, at the time of the shooting, he was reportedly wearing a long black robe often associated with the Islamic faith.
Police said the man may be armed with a silver handgun.
The operator of the van, police said, was a black man in his mid-30s, about 5 feet 10 inches tall and 165 pounds, with a thin build and a shaggy beard. At the time of the shooting, he was reportedly wearing a dark-colored T-shirt, police said.
Also, according to police, they are looking for the suspects' vehicle, a silver or light gray 2004 Mitsubishi with factory tint.
