This video admittedly comes from a few days ago, but during halftime of the Eagles-Giants game on Thursday Night Football, a group of Philadelphia area mascots took on mascots from all over the NFL in a little pigskin.
At the time, our football writer was all over it:
The Philadelphia mascots are playing a bunch of random NFL mascots in a football game.

Sir Purr (Panthers) just destroyed the Temple Owl.

Franklin the Dog just dropped two on the money passes from Swoop. Awful.

Phillie Phanatic just had a late hit on Pat Patriot.

NFL Mascots go up 7-0. Pat Patriot hit a deep throw to Jaxson de Ville.

NFL mascots beat the Philly mascots. Which sounds about right.

Philly mascots can't cut Franklin the Dog. Cap hit too big. They're stuck with him through 2018.

And that pretty much sums it up. If we’re really looking for someone to blame here, it has to be Franklin. Swoop put that deep throw down the sideline right on the money, a play you have to make against the likes of Jaxson de Ville. I do have faith that Franklin will work his tail off during the offseason for the rematch.
