UniverSoul Circus returns to Philly for season's grand finale

UniverSoul celebrates cultures from around the world, brings them together under the big top

The UniverSoul Circus returns to Philadelphia for the finale of its 2016 tour, setting up a big top in Fairmount Park by the Mann Center. From Nov. 3-27, there will be 47 shows.

Alongside Ringling Brothers Barnum and Bailey and Cirque du Soleil, UniverSoul is rated one of the top three circuses in America.

UniverSoul combines circus arts, theater and music from all genres in its performances, lead by a multicultural/multinational cast.

Four new acts will join the lineup during the Philly performances:

•"Russian Bar" from Cuba
•"Aerial Duet" from Colombia
•"Pagoda Bowl Acrobats" from China
•"Airborne Motorcycles" from California

Attendees to the circus can also expect acts involving contortionists, aerial dancers, disco dancing elephants, a soulful clown quartet, a Caribbean dance team and jump-roping dogs.

“Philadelphia is a city that has really been part of our UniverSoul Circus family since the early days -- and we are so excited to be back!" founder and CEO Cedric Walker stated in a press release.

Tickets for the family-friendly circus begin at $19 per person.
