The bloody mary is a classic. The spicy and salty vodka-filled cocktail is the breakfast of champions (aka the painfully hungover), and a staple at any weekend brunch.
If you're a fan of all that tomatoey-goodness, you may want to plan ahead and make reservations at Square 1682 for this Sunday.
The restaurant is doing something special. It will have a bloody mary bar and live jazz.
For $10, imbibers can enjoy their bloody with any or all of the following garnishes:
• Bread and butter pickles
• Pickled red onions
• Pickled radishes
• Pickled cauliflower with saffron
• Pickled baby carrots with 1682 hot sauce
• Sliced chicken sausage
• Silver dollar-sized pancakes
• Cornbread cubes
• Mini doughnuts
• Chocolate cake cubes
As for food, the brunch menu includes dishes like duck wings and waffles ($18), jerk chicken and grits ($18), sweet potato hash ($16) and biscuit sandwich with egg, bacon, chipotle aioli and smoked gouda ($15).
The David Pearl and Friends Trio will perform from noon to 2 p.m.
