Tangle Movement Arts, a nine-woman aerial dance company, mixes circus, theater and acrobatics into unique performances. Their latest,
"Tell It Slant," premieres March 12 at the Christ Church Neighborhood House.
"Tell It Slant" is a feminist cabaret which explores the themes of female strength, identity and friendship, with its many mutations. Certainly a subject as complex as femininity requires particularly dextrous storytelling. Thus Tangle will use aerial silks, acrobatics, dance and tumbling in their drama.
Joining the Tangle troupe as guest performers are two internationally renown trapeze artists Megan Gendell and Lauren Feldman from the New England Center for Circus Arts. Artist Julia Wilson designed the sets for "Tell It Slant."
