'American Idol' to feature audition by Bucks County singer on Sunday's episode

Ricky Moyer, a 22-year-old from Levittown who graduated from Neshaminy High School, auditioned for 'American Idol' in an episode airing Sunday, March 24 at 8 p.m. In an interview, Moyer describes singing 'It Must Have Been Love' by Roxette in hopes of impressing celebrity judges Luke Bryan, Katy Perry and Lionel Richie.

Charges against Bam Margera dropped in August incident at Radnor Hotel

The charges that Bam Margera faced in relation to an alleged incident in August at the Radnor Hotel have been dropped. The 'Jackass' star appeared in Delaware County District Court, where all charges for public intoxication and disorderly conduct were withdrawn. Margera still faces charges stemming from an altercation with his brother that took place in April at his home in Chester County.

Researchers examined nine elite female runners as they worked out on a treadmill while wearing sports bras of varying tightness. The study found that the looser bras allowed the women to run more efficiently by taking breaths that were deeper and less frequent.

Newtown Township shelter-in-place order lifted following barricade situation, police say

A shelter-in-place order in Newtown Township has been lifted following a barricade situation Sunday morning. Newtown Township Police were dispatched to the Headley housing development for a reported physical assault by an armed individual, according to police. When police arrived, a female victim was located after escaping out of the rear of the property. The male suspect then barricaded himself inside of a home, prompting a SWAT response and shelter-in-place order. The suspect has been taken into custody by police. This was the second shelter-in-place order in Bucks County in two days, following a triple shooting in Falls Township on Saturday.

Jerry Blavat's bar Memories in Margate to reopen by summer with new owners

Memories in Margate, the club previously owned by Philly DJ Jerry Blavat, will reopen by the summer under new ownership. Philly restaurateur Teddy Sourias, of Craft Concepts Group, will operate the bar along with two silent partners. Memories closed in September 2022, and Blavat died last year. Memories is expected to open by Memorial Day weekend.

Suspect who allegedly shot and killed 3 people in Bucks County arrested in Trenton, police say

Andre Gordon, who allegedly shot and killed three family members Saturday morning in Falls Township, Bucks County, was arrested in Trenton, police say. Gordon allegedly stole a car before killing his stepmother, 13-year-old sister and a woman with whom he shares two children. He then reportedly stole a second car and headed to Trenton where he was believed to be barricaded inside a home. He was arrested around 5 p.m. two blocks away from the home in which he was believed to be barricaded.

On Wednesday, the Pennsylvania SPCA shared social media posts about Brian, a 'sad' cat that had been overlooked for five months at the shelter. The posts soon went viral, gaining millions of views and thousands of shares, and Brian was adopted by the evening.
