A partial solar eclipse will be visible in the Philadelphia region on Monday, April 8 from about 2 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. The eclipse will reach 90% totality in Philly at 3:23 p.m. To safely view it, people need to use special eclipse glasses or make a device that shows its reflection. Alleged lookout arrested in Burholme bus stop shooting that injured 8 teens

Police arrested a fifth suspect in connection with a shooting in Burholme on March 6 that injured eight teens at a bus stop. On Thursday, 15-year-old Jeremiah Jefferson of Northeast Philadelphia, was arrested, police say. He will be charged with the same charges as the four previously arrested suspects, including attempted murder. Police also said the shooting may have been connected to other incidents, including one that happened two days before, and that one of the suspects in the March 6 shooting, Ahnile Buggs, has been charged with murder in another fatal shooting that took place in February.
