Pennsylvania State Police investigating arson at Gov. Josh Shapiro's residence

Pennsylvania State Police said they're investigating an act of arson that took place around 2 a.m. Sunday morning at Gov. Josh Shapiro's residence in Harrisburg. The fire was extinguished, but caused a significant amount of damage to part of the residence, authorities said. The governor and his family were evacuated unharmed. The investigation is ongoing, and police are offering a $10,000 reward for information.

Blue Ridge Beef recalls pet food due to potential salmonella, listeria contamination

Blue Ridge Beef is recalling some of its raw pet food due to potential salmonella and listeria contamination, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration announced. The recall includes 1,080 pounds of the brand's Kitten Mix and 1,380 pounds of Puppy Mix, which were sold between Jan. 3 through Jan. 24 in nine states, including Pennsylvania, the FDA said.

A movie, called 'Hershey,' will follow the rise of the Hershey Company, along with the love story between its founder Milton Hershey and his wife Kitty. The film will be directed by Mark Waters and star Finn Wittrock as Milton and Alexandra Daddario as Kitty. The movie will be filmed across Pennsylvania starting in May and will premiere in 2026.

SEPTA reviewing video of bus that fails to stop after crash, pushing a vehicle down a road in Northeast Philly

SEPTA officials are reviewing a video that shows a bus pushing a vehicle sideways down a road Friday near Roosevelt Boulevard and Sanger Street in Northeast Philadelphia. Seven people were injured, including five passengers on the bus and two people in the vehicle. The cause of the crash remains under investigation, and the bus operator is being held off duty pending the outcome.

To celebrate America turning 250 next year, Philadelphia will host a different event every week, the Philadelphia Historic District 250th Committee announced Tuesday. The firsts being honored during the '52 Weeks of Firsts' festival include the Mummers Parade (1901), flower show (1827), ice cream soda (1874), Mother’s Day (1908) and Slinky (1943).
