A mix of snow and ice coated Philadelphia Saturday morning, leaving slippery conditions for drivers and pedestrians.
By 6 a.m., about an inch of snow had accumulated but was mostly cleared on main thoroughfares in Center City. The snow had changed to sleet around the same time.

A Winter Weather Advisory had been issued by the National Weather Service, as dangerous driving conditions and potential power outages were anticipated. That advisory expired at 11 a.m.
The snow and ice will create treacherous driving conditions and possibly scattered power outages, according to the NWS.
Philadelphia International Airport issued a ground stop due to the weather at about 9 a.m and about 24 flights were cancelled. The ground stop was lifted at around

The rain is expected to continue until about noon, and more rain is expected early Sunday morning.
