Sixers forward Paul George will miss at least two games with a left knee bone bruise, the team said Thursday evening. An MRI revealed no structural damage.

George, who missed three weeks with a left knee bruise during the preseason and beginning of the regular season, came down wrong as he grabbed a defensive rebound during the Sixers' road loss to the Memphis Grizzlies on Wednesday night.

This rules George out for Friday night's game against the Brooklyn Nets and Sunday night's contest against George's old team, the Los Angeles Clippers. His soonest possible return would be Monday night's battle against the Houston Rockets.

In eight games this season, George has averaged 14.9 points per game on scoring efficiency marks well below league averages, struggling to find a groove for a Sixers team now in sole possession of the worst record in the NBA, standing at 2-12.
