Officials are investigating the death of a woman whose body was found in a Philadelphia home — seemingly set ablaze on purpose — as a homicide, according to reports.
NBC10 reports firefighters responded to a home engulfed in flames on the 1900 block of W. Bristol Street around 7 p.m. Friday.
The flames were brought under control in about 25 minutes, according to 6ABC. Firefighters reportedly found the woman's body in the basement.
Philly.com is reporting that the victim, whose identity was not released, was shot. Police are still investigating.
