Two men are being treated for injuries after they were electrocuted at a PECO site Monday afternoon in Center City.
According to NBC10, the incident occurred around 4:48 p.m. at a PECO site on 23rd and Market streets.
The two victims, a 40-year-old PECO employee and a 35-year-old contractor, both suffered a shock and were taken to a nearby hospital to be treated for burns. The younger worker second- and third-degree burns and was listed in stable condition at Temple University Hospital's Burn Unit. The older of the two was treated for superficial burns to his face, police said.
Officials described the event as a flash fire but did not immediately reveal the cause of the incident.
