About six weeks ago, PhillyVoice reported that the Eagles planned on freeing up significant cap space this offseason. Within that piece, we reported that Allen Barbre's job (somewhat surprisingly) was not safe.
OL Allen Barbre: $2,100,000 savings if cut or traded. In addition to Kelce, we can report via a source that Barbre is not safe either. Barbre proved to be a versatile player in 2016, playing multiple positions along the offensive line. At a minimum, he is a competent reserve. However, he has a history of injuries, he'll turn 33 in June, and his quality season last year has not been the norm over his career.
According to Jason Cole of Bleacher Report, the Eagles have given Barbre permission to seek a trade.

I'm not sure exactly what an average 33-year old guard is going to net in a trade, but it would appear that the Eagles are indeed comfortable moving on from Barbre.
