Month of 1000 Pies at Red Owl Tavern is through November 24.
Red Owl Tavern in Old City has launched its second annual Month of 1000 Pies. For every to-go pie purchased from the restaurant this month, Red Owl donates a pie to Philabundance. Simply buy a pie between now and Thanksgiving to give back to the community.
Philabundance is a nonprofit food bank that serves the Philadelphia and Delaware Valley region.
Freshly baked apple streusel and pumpkin pies are available for $12 each or two for $20.
Additionally, guests who choose to enjoy a piece of pie in Red Owl will be giving to Philabundance. Fifty percent of the dessert proceeds will go to the organization.
Orders can be placed in advance by calling (215) 923-2267 or pies can be picked up at Red Owl’s "grab ‘n’ go" in the front of the restaurant.
