Headed into Philly this holiday season for a weekend shopping spree? Remember, you can nab parking for free on Saturdays.
The Philadelphia Parking Authority will again offer free metered parking throughout the city on Saturdays after 11 a.m. from now until New Year's Day. Just keep in mind that time limits on residential blocks and all other parking regulations will remain enforced.

"Here’s the scoop: As you scramble to get all of your holiday shopping done, we want parking to be the least of your worries," PPA officials said in a statement.
Between Thanksgiving and New Years Day, the authority also offers drivers a flat $8 rate to park in PPA garages between 11 a.m. and midnight on Saturdays and Sundays. Just see the garage management office to validate the discount, officials said.
