Philadelphia police are investigating after a woman was fatally shot Sunday morning at a park in North Philadelphia.
According to authorities, the shooting occurred at Nicetown Park along the 4300 block of North 17th Street around 11:43 a.m., NBC 10 reports.
Officers, called to the scene after a report of gunshots, found the 26-year-old victim face down on the ground suffering from multiple bullet wounds.
Medics pronounced the victim dead at the scene. Her identity has not been revealed.
A motive for the shooting is not yet known as police continue to search for a suspect.
