Police in Paterson, New Jersey, are investigating after a man was killed and a woman was seriously injured in a shooting nearby a home in the Passaic County city.
According to authorities, the shooting occurred around 2:10 a.m. Saturday morning on North Third Street, CBS 3 reports.
19-year-old Lamonte Proctor, who lived at the home, was one of the two victims found outside the residence. He was taken to a nearby hospital, where he was pronounced dead. The woman, whose name was not released, was hospitalized for treatment of undisclosed injuries.
Investigators were not immediately sure whether the shooting occurred outside the home or at a nearby location.
A motive for the shooting has yet to be determined and police have not provided further details on their investigation.
