If you're already browsing flights out of town in between answering those 500 previously ignored emails in your inbox right now, this resource is about to be your next 2019 obsession.
A newly-launched travel website called Philly Flight List (basically a localized version of Scott's Cheap Flights) is a resource for affordable flights out of Philadelphia International Airport.
It's a newsletter that emails you alerts for trips on the cheap when they're live. On each alert, you'll get a few domestic flight choices and a few international. You'll also have to book fairly quickly because these things do expire or fill up once other travelers catch on to the prices.
The website launched in November and already reports having more than 700 subscribers, as of early December.
I subscribed a couple of weeks ago and can vouch for the semi-regular emails. So far, I've seen flights under $200 to San Francisco, $80 to Miami, and $300 to Barcelona. The deal in your email redirects you right to the Google Flights booking page, so it's pretty easy to navigate.
If I've convinced you, here's where you can learn more and subscribe for yourself.
The one drawback I've found is that you can't really pick when you'll be traveling, so browse with flexibility in mind. And many of the flights have at least one layover, sometimes two. But if you're willing to tack on a few hours onto your travel time in exchange for a couple hundred bucks in savings, this is a great resource.
It's free to subscribe to the basic newsletter, but if you want more you can go for PFL Ultra, which is $5 per month and gives you more exclusive deals, earlier access, and destination region controls. Here's more on Ultra.
