WalletHub, a personal finance website, somehow ranked 150 U.S. cities based on a few factors, including something called dating economics, romance and fun as well as dating opportunities. Each factor consisted of other points, like how much it costs to eat dinner at a nice restaurant, how many bars or clubs are in that city, walkability and even how active the Tinder users there are in the area.
The overarching goal was to determine how well the cities cater toward a "single-but-looking" crowd in the report published Monday.
Philadelphia landed the No. 22 spot, ranking as one of the worst in the "dating economics" category at No. 145, better in "romance and fun" at No. 42 and as one of the best in "dating opportunities" – the category that included the number of active Tinder users – at No. 13.
WalletHub also reported that 45 percent of U.S. adults had no one to call their own in 2015.
Philly ranked one spot below Scottsdale, Arizona, and one above Honolulu, Hawaii.
