An American Airlines plane lands at the Philadelphia International Airport. American Airlines is adding new flights from Philadelphia International Airport to destinations in Florida this winter.
Five crew members on an American Airlines flight that left Philadelphia this morning were hospitalized after the plane landed in Fort Lauderdale, officials said.
Two pilots and three fight attendants were reportedly sickened by an odor on Flight 1897 just before landing, according to the Miami Herald.
None of the passengers on the plane complained of similar symptoms or requested medical attention.
The five sent to the hospital were taken there as a precaution, the airline said.
The plane is being evaluated by the airline's maintenance team.
