A born and raised Philadelphian crossed off part of his bucket in 2018 when he attended every single Philadelphia Eagles game during the regular season, whether the team was home, away, or even abroad.
Koroun Butler, 45, told the Huffington Post that being diagnosed with a viral heart infection in 2016 inspired and motivated him to achieve more of his life's dreams and desires. Though he is now fully recovered, Butler accomplished one particularly complicated goal that began after the Eagles' historic Super Bowl LII win.
“I turned 45 this year, and the Eagles turned 85 this year, so it just seemed like it made sense to to do it in 2018," Butler told HuffPost.
Though originally from Philadelphia, Butler now lives in Arizona, which means that attending all 16 regular season Eagles games meant air travel almost every single weekend. Paying for transportation and hotels was aided in part by Butler's work as a trainer for automotive salespeople, which already has him traveling often and boosting his frequent flyer miles and awards.
Here's video of Butler from two weeks ago at halftime of the Eagles game against the Houston Texans at Lincoln Financial Field.
Throughout the season, Butler ran into the likes of Doug Pederson and Jeffrey Lurie, and while in London for the game against the Jacksonville Jaguars, he and Roger Goodell were at the same cigar bar. Now that the Birds are headed to the playoffs, he'll be in Chicago this weekend for the game against the Bears.
