Philly's 2016 Pancakes & Booze Art Show will take place at Callowhill's Underground Arts on June 4. The pop-up art exhibit will feature more than 75 up-and-coming artists, live music, live art, body painting, a cash bar and a free pancake bar.
The Pancakes & Booze Art Show started in 2009 and gradually expanded to include cities across the country and abroad. Those intimidated by traditional art shows can relax because the informal showcase aims to be welcoming to both the public and artists.
Founder and curator Tom Kirlin's intention is to give underground artists exposure -- and give everyone some delicious comfort carbs.
For artists hoping to display work, there is no deadline to submit. The show will accept art until all of the venue's wall space is filled. Fill out the artist submission form to start the process.
There will be a $5 cover the night of to attend the show. No advanced tickets will be sold and the event is only for those 21-plus.
