The East Passyunk Avenue restaurant Palladino's is switching things up. Instead of the usual wine pairing with a four-course prix-fixe dinner, the Italian steakhouse is opting for bourbon to accentuate its dishes.
The spirit brand accompanying each dish will be Jefferson's Bourbon.
Before and after the dinner, guests will have an opportunity to speak with Jefferson's Bourbon representatives to learn more about the spirit and to sample the different kinds available.
At the happy hour, from 5-7 p.m., there will be special cocktails and bites at the bar that will be available to all.
For those who stay to dine between 7-9 p.m., this will be the four-course menu and drink pairing:
• First course: Smoked scallops with Luke’s Single Barrel Select Manhattan made with in-house mixers, cinnamon bitters, sweet vermouth and brandied cherry.
• Second course: Parsnip tortelloni with chestnut and balsamic-sage brown butter, paired with Jefferson’s Small Batch Reserve Bourbon.
• Third course: Wood-grilled prime strip steak with blood sausage and sea urchin, paired with Jefferson’s Ocean Bourbon.
• Dessert: Maple-smoked paprika bacon brittle gelato, paired with Groth Cabernet Cask Bourbon.
The dinner is $95 per person.
