Two of Philadelphia's former top executives have been racking up plenty of new gigs since they left office. Add another one to the list for former Mayor Michael Nutter.
He'll be joining CNN as a political contributor. According to the network's own media correspondent, Brian Stelter, Nutter was officially added to CNN's list of commentators Monday along with Matt Lewis of The Daily Caller and radio host Bill Press.
The announcement comes as the 2016 presidential race officially gets underway in Iowa, where the first votes were cast Monday in the state's caucuses.
Nutter is a staunch supporter of Hillary Clinton. He campaigned for her in 2008 and has been doing so this election cycle. Stelter acknowledged this on Twitter, noting that Press is a supporter of Sanders.
Nutter gained national attention late last year for calling Donald Trump an "a--hole" because of his remarks regarding Muslims. Trump, the GOP frontrunner, shot back, calling Nutter a "crude dope."
The exchange made its way into the national news cycle, and now Nutter will have the chance to showcase that personality as well as his political experience in front of the country during a period of heightened political interest.
This is Nutter's third gig since leaving office. He's been sworn in as a member of an advisory committee for the Department of Homeland Security and landed a job as a professor at Columbia University.
Nutter's former Police Commissioner Charles Ramsey has been busy as well, obtaining jobs and advisory roles in Chicago, Wilmington and at Drexel University since retiring at the beginning of 2016.
