A man was shot and killed while sitting in a car late Wednesday night in East Mount Airy, NBC10 reports.
Police responded to Vernon Road near Boyer Street shortly before midnight.
A man believed to be in his 40s was found in a car with a gunshot wound to his torso, police said. It appeared he had been sitting in the car when he was shot. Police believe the victim was able to drive about a half-block from the scene of the shooting.
The man was taken to Albert Einstein Medical Center, where he later died from his injuries.
The shooting remains under investigation.
