Another big name free agent has been linked to the Phillies, as the tide seems to be turning downward in their pursuit of Bryce Harper and Manny Machado.
Astros hurler Dallas Kuechel, a 32-year-old free agent is drawing interest from Philadelphia as it looks to reinforce its pitching staff, though the years appear to be more an issue that the money.
Similar to what happened with Patrick Corbin, who eventually signed with the Nationals supposedly for an extra year and J.A. Happ, who went to the Yankees for the same reason, there could be a hang up on this deal.

Keuchel, unlike another 32-year-old rumored trade target in Corey Kluber, is in a bit of a decline.
The 2015 Cy Young award winner went 12-11 with a 3.74 ERA last season, increasing his ERA nearly an entire point year over year. Whether this is a trend is yet to be seen.
