American radio personality, television host and producer Ryan Seacrest, who got his start as the host of Fox's "American Idol" in 2002, will sit beside Ripa on ABC's "LIVE with Kelly."
Ripa, who hails from South Jersey, tweeted Sunday that she would reveal the new co-host during Monday's show.
Jimmy Kimmel, Fred Savage and Anderson Cooper have all been rumored to take over as the show's second chair, while Richard Curtis, a Bucks County teacher, won a contest to serve as the show's co-host for two episodes in the fall.
Seacrest is the executive producer and co-host of ABC's "Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve." He has also produced the Emmy Award-winning show "Jamie Oliver's Food Revolution" on the network.
