The iconic ‘Unconditional Surrender’ statue depicting a kissing sailor and nurse at the end of World War II will be visiting the Battleship New Jersey at the Camden Waterfront this summer.

According to the Battleship New Jersey’s website, visitors will be able to view and take pictures at the statue.
The bronze statue is modeled after a photograph by Alfred Eisenstaedt taken in Times Square on V-J Day at the end of World War II, sculpted by American artist Seward Johnson.
