National Guacamole Day is celebrated annually on Sept. 16. This year, a restaurant in Manayunk is celebrating by giving away free guacamole.
Mexican restaurant Union Taco will give customers a free side order of guacamole with any taco, salad or burrito purchase, Roxborough Patch reports. Normally, the side dish would cost $3.50.
Union Taco's guacamole comes in three varieties: Strawberry Habanero, Pico de Gallo and Original. A basket of house-made chips accompanies each serving.
The deal begins at noon -- just in time for lunch.
