A gun violence prevention group is sending members of the Eagles offensive line locks for the shotguns they received from rookie quarterback Carson Wentz.
Wentz — an avid hunter — reportedly got the $2,000-a-piece Beretta shotguns for his O-line for Christmas.
CeaseFirePA Executive Director Shira Goodman said in a press release that her staff's immediate reaction to the news was to make sure the "gifts were used safely and responsibly.”
The organization announced Thursday night it would be sending gun locks to the players who got the firearms from Wentz.

According to CeaseFirePA, because of easy access to guns in Pennsylvania, many people become gun owners without first taking safety courses or learning how to store their guns safely.
Goodman said her staff would have preferred to hear different news about the Eagles as the team's season comes to an end, but she welcomed all Eagles players to join CeaseFirePA's mission to prevent gun violence.
