Morgan Freeman's 33-year-old goddaughter, E'Dena Hines, was stabbed to death in New York City on Sunday, NBC 10 reported.
Police say they responded to a call of a stabbing and found Hines lying in the street in Washington Heights, Manhattan at around 3 in the morning.
She was pronounced dead at the hospital, having been stabbed several times in the torso. A 30-year-old man whose name has not been released was arrested at the scene.
Hines was Morgan's step-granddaughter. She was the granddaughter of his first wife, People reported.
