Geno's Steaks changes its logo

New look for the iconic Philly cheesesteak joint

While the cheesesteaks will remain the same, South Philly's famous Geno's Steaks will be changing their look.

According to Philly Mag, the well known vendor of Philadelphia's most iconic dish will be switching the logo it has used since the restaurant's beginning in 1966. 

Moving on from the White background and "the best from South Philly" slogan, the new logo is much simpler. Contrasting orange, black and white, the new logo will simply say "Geno's Steaks" with "Philadelphia's original" underneath:


Philly Mag's Foobooz blog is polling readers on which they prefer, while giving the option to decline either option in favor of the pork sandwich. As of press time, the new logo was in the lead:


This isn't the first time this logo has been used by Geno's, as confirmed by this Instagram post from November, 2014.
