Fond, the South Philly restaurant which has served contemporary American cuisine since 2009, is celebrating its sixth birthday Saturday, August 29. To mark the occasion, Wednesday, August 26 through Saturday, they'll offer a throwback menu featuring the "greatest hits," so to speak, of its tenure thus far.
For $60 per person, guests will receive a six courses (five savory and one dessert) featuring some of Fond's most popular dishes. As a true celebration isn't complete without a little bubbly, a complimentary glass of champagne comes with it. A wine pairing option will also be available for an extra $30. (If you're not into the tasting menu idea, the restaurant will also be serving its a la carte menu, too.)
Though Fond founders chef Lee Styer, pastry chef Jessie Prawlucki and dining room manager Tory Keomanivong first opened on East Passyunk Avenue, they eventually outgrew that space. They've since moved a smidge off of EPA to South 11th, right across from the Singing Fountain.
