After visiting a few teams as a prospective unrestricted free agent, Jordan Weal will be sticking around in Philly after all. Late Thursday night, the Flyers announced that they had agreed to a two-year deal with the 25-year-old forward.
According to TSN’s Pierre LeBrun, the contract has an AAV of $1.75 million:

Weal, who had clearly proven his ability to be productive in the AHL, finally got his first extended chance to play in the NHL at the end of last season after he was recalled on February 10th. Weal, who was acquired from the Los Angeles Kings in the Vinny Lecavalier trade in January 2016, managed 12 points in 23 games for the Orange and Black.
The Vancouver native reportedly met with the Canucks, Toronto Maple Leafs and Montreal Canadiens just this past week. But he’ll stay in Philadelphia with the chance to finally stick with an NHL team for the entire season.
