As we noted earlier this week, the Philadelphia Eagles will come into their Week 7 matchup very healthy, as they have in every other game this season. The Vikings, on the other hand, come into this matchup without their two starting offensive tackles, their legendary running back, and their original starting quarterback.
Here are the inactive lists.
• DT Bennie Logan: Logan is perhaps the Eagles' best run stopper. A week ago, the Eagles gave up 230 rushing yards to the Redskins, and they'll have to try to get their run defense back on track against the Vikings without him.
• WR Bryce Treggs: It appears the Eagles will roll with four wide receivers, meaning Treggs won't see action unless one gets hurt.
• OL Dillon Gordon: Gordon is a versatile player the Eagles want to develop over time, but he'll be inactive for the foreseeable future.
• OL Isaac Seumalo: Seumalo is a healthy scratch. He has been inactive for every game so far this season.
• OL Josh Andrews: Andrews makes three inactive offensive linemen, down from four the first four games.
• CB C.J. Smith: Smith was added to the roster a week ago after Lane Johnson was officially suspended. Even with the Eagles severely depleted at corner, Smith will sit.
• S Terrence Brooks: Deep safety depth. With Leodis McKelvin and Ron Brooks active, Brooks will sit.
Leodis McKelvin, Ron Brooks, and Mychal Kendricks were all listed as questionable heading into this game. They will all play.
• RT Lane Johnson: One game down with Johnson suspended, nine to go.
• DT Sharrif Floyd: Floyd is a former 2013 first round pick of the Vikings who has not yet played in 2016. From 2013-2015, Floyd had 95 tackles, 9.5 sacks, one forced fumble, and nine tackles for loss.
• WR Jarius Wright: Wright has played in just two games this season. He has four catches for 32 yards and no scores.
• WR Laquon Treadwell: Treadwell was the Vikings' first-round pick this year. Obviously, the Vikings have a bunch of banged-up wide receivers. Treadwell has appeared in three games, but does not yet have a reception in the NFL.
• TE MyCole Pruitt: Back of the roster guy.
• C Nick Easton: Ditto.
• LB Kentrell Brothers: Ditto.
• G Willie Beavers: Ditto. Unfortunately, there was a Fletcher Cox joke to be made here.
• QB Teddy Bridgewater: Bridgewater's gruesome leg injury just before the start of the season was the impetus for the Eagles' trade of Sam Bradford to the Vikings.
• RB Adrian Peterson: Peterson was off to a slow start this season (31 carries for 50 yards) before he had surgery to repair his meniscus, but he is still arguably the Vikings' most important player, even at 31 years of age. The Vikings' run game has not yet taken off without him:
Opponent | Rush | Yards | YPC | TD |
Titans | 28 | 65 | 2.3 | 0 |
Packers | 22 | 30 | 1.4 | 0 |
Panthers | 24 | 58 | 2.4 | 0 |
Giants | 33 | 104 | 3.2 | 2 |
Texans | 37 | 96 | 2.6 | 1 |
TOTAL | 144 | 353 | 2.5 | 3 |
• LT Matt Kalil: Kalil was the Vikings' starting left tackle until he was lost for the season with a hip injury. He was replaced by T.J. Clemmings, who did not play well. The Vikings then decided to sign former No. 1 overall pick Jake Long, who is now 31 years old. It is still to be determined who will start this Sunday at LT.
• RT Andre Smith: Smith was lost for the season with a torn triceps. He was the Vikings' starting RT. Jeremiah Sirles started in Smith's place in the Vikings' last game, which was Week 5 against the Texans. He'll have a tough matchup against Brandon Graham this week.
