The Philadelphia Eagles announced that they have signed wide receiver Alshon Jeffery to a four-year contract extension. Jeffery joined the team as a free agent this past offseason.
According to numbers from Adam Schefter of ESPN, Jeffery's deal is not an outlandish one, by any stretch.
Alshon Jeffery’s new 4-year, $52 million deal with the Eagles also included $27 million guaranteed, per source.

Through the first 11 games of his Eagles tenure, Jeffery has 43 catches for 619 yards. Jeffery's season started off slowly, and while his reception and yardage numbers aren't gaudy, Jeffery has been able to find the end zone, as he has 7 TD receptions. Five of Jeffery's TD receptions have come in the last four games.
A season ago, Jordan Matthews led all Eagles receivers with just 3 TDs. The production from the Eagles' passing game from 2016 to 2017 has been night and day difference, for the better. The biggest reason for that, of course, has been the stellar play of MVP candidate Carson Wentz, but certainly, a far better wide receiving corps has helped, led by Jeffery.
Jeffery is now signed through the 2021 season. If there were any questions as to whether the Eagles would be able to sign Jeffery with their 'salary cap issues,' this puts that notion to bed.
