Eagles rookie quarterback Carson Wentz is good. There. I said it. This hot take was brought to you by whatever ad you see below. Over the first three weeks of his NFL career, Wentz has racked up quite a number of awards:
• After Week 1, Wentz was named NFL Rookie of the Week, when he was 22 of 37 for 278 yards, 2 TD, 0 INT, and a QB rating of 101.0, in one of the more impressive rookie debuts you'll see.
• After Week 3, Wentz was once again NFL Rookie of the Week, when he was 23 of 31 for 301 yards, 2 TD, 0 INT and a QB rating of 125.9, in the Eagles' boot-stomping of the Pittsburgh Steelers.
• Aaaaand as you might imagine, After winning Rookie of the Week in two of the first three weeks of the season, Wentz was named NFL Offensive Rookie of the Month.
• Oh, and he was also named NFC Offensive Player of the Week (not just for rookies) for his performance Week 3 against the Steelers.
Frankly, if Jordan Matthews hadn't dropped a perfect throw from Wentz that would have been a long TD against the Bears Week 2, Wentz might've brought home NFL Rookie of the Week honors all three weeks, as his numbers likely would have looked better than the Week 2 winner, Browns WR Corey Coleman, who caught 5 passes for 104 and 2 TDs against the Baltimore Ravens.
