This summer, hop in the car and drive past your local AMC – you can go there anytime. Head to an old school drive-in theater to catch a double feature.
There aren't many places left where you can sit in your car and watch the latest releases, but we found three local spots still operating.
The experience is worth the drive to get there.

Delsea Drive-In Theatre
The Delsea Drive-In is located in Vineland, N.J., about a 50-minute drive from Philadelphia's Center City.
It has two screens which play double features and sometimes triple features, as well as tons of food options. You can also bring your own food, but you'll have to get a "food permit" from the box office for $20, because hey, it's pricy to run one of the last-standing drive-ins.
This summer, the theater is also letting pets in on "Pet Sundays."
Admission: $11 for adults and $6 for kids age 4 to 11
Location: 2203 S. Delsea Dr., Vineland, N.J. 08360
Shankweiler’s Drive-In Theatre
This Pennsylvania drive-in is now in its 85th season. Shankweiler's Drive-In is America's oldest operational drive-in theater.
You'll have to drive to the country to experience it, but it's worth checking out. The theater is located roughly an hour and a half outside of Philly.
This spot also has a snack bar with candy, ice cream, burgers and more kid-friendly bites.
Admission: $10 for adults and $6 for kids age 3 to 12
Location: 4540 Shankweiler Road, Orefield, PA 18069
Becky's Drive-In Theatre
Becky's Drive-In is celebrating it's 72nd anniversary on Saturday, June 16. Catch a movie, then the fireworks show at 9:30 p.m.
All movies start at dusk and the theater broadcasts sound for the movies over FM radio.
To eat, there are lots of options, but you'll want to try the fresh funnel cake or root beer float, two of the snack bar's specialities.
Admission: $10 for adults and $6 for kids age 3 to 12
Location: 4548 Lehigh Dr., Walnutport, PA 18088
