March 07, 2017
The countdown to Philly Wine Week has begun. From Sunday, March 19, through Sunday, March 26, the city will celebrate all things wine. 2017 marks the fourth year the weeklong celebration has taken place in Philadelphia.
This year, a new website design lets wine-lovers search events by day, type of event and venue. With more than 100 events, however, picking what to attend can be a little overwhelming.
Get started by using the day-by-day guide below, which maps out the most exciting events during Philly Wine Week.
• Opening Corks – Kick off the week's festivities in a museum. More than 100 world-class wines will be poured.
• Mystery Wine Blind Tastings – Tastings will take place at The Rittenhouse daily, through March 26. Guests are encouraged to guess the grape and will be rewarded with a full bottle of wine if they are correct.
• Women in Wine – All week long, Tredici Enoteca will feature wine from the best female wine makers around the world. Attendees can purchase a wine and cheese flight for $22.
