Chaddsford Winery in Delaware County is out to prove that chili and wine go together. On Jan. 28-29, the winery will host a free sampling party.
Attendees will have an opportunity to sample five chili recipes from local caterers, paired with Chaddsford wines.
• Brandywine Catering will feature "Kool Bean Chili" paired with a hard cider.
• The Millstone Café at the Brandywine River Museum of Art will feature "Pork Verde Chili" paired with the 2015 Artisan Series Traminette.
• Serock Catering will feature "Smokin' Three Bean Chili" paired with the 2015 Artisan Series Dry Rosé.
• Birchtree Catering will feature a surprise homemade chili paired with the 2015 Proprietors Reserve Red.
• Brandywine Prime Seafood and Chops will feature "Buffalo Run Ranch Bison Chili" paired with the 2014 Artisan Series Blaufränkisch.
Each 21-plus attendee will receive one complimentary chili & wine tasting from each participant. Other food and drink will be available for purchase.
