Taco Workshop with South Philly Barbacoa

Cristina Martinez and Ben Miller, chefs and co-owners of South Philly Barbacoa, will be at the Free Library on Monday, April 17, to teach a class on nixtamalization. The ancient culinary practice is used to create nutrient-dense tortillas.

After, while attendees enjoy vegetarian tacos, the chefs will share stories of how corn and other culinary crops are often used.

The class is $10 per person, and registration is required.

Following the taco workshop, there will be a free seed swap, so bring any saved seeds from culinary crops if you have them.
