A littering issue in South Philadelphia is now spilling onto social media through the Twitter handle @SouthPhilaTrash, where social media sharers are posting pictures of unsightly heaps of garbage on the streets.
The purpose of the Twitter feed, according to a Passyunk Post interview with Jen Devor, the South Philadelphia resident who started it, is to provide a platform for locals to share photos of trash on the neighborhood's streets to show it's a real issue and to start a dialogue to correct it.
Share your photos @SouthPhilaTrash.
