After leading the U.S. Women's National Soccer Team to a FIFA World Cup title in June, midfielder Carli Lloyd has deservedly been basking in the glory.
The Delran Township, New Jersey, native recently teamed up with Comcast to a produce a new Xfinity Triple Play commercial that showcases her skills not just on the field, but in the home. Based on this display, she could very well be the smarthome accessory every American household covets.
After her gutsy performance against Japan, netting three goals in the first seventeen minutes of play, Lloyd's marketing value has skyrocketed, The Philadelphia Business Journal reports.
Lloyd, a graduate of Rutgers University, inked a deal with Visa right after the World Cup and was also in talks with an unnamed automaker and a watch company, according to Adage. Now with Comcast, Lloyd is reaping the benefits of endorsements after rising to the top of the sports world in 2015. Bob Williams, CEO of Burns Entertainment and Sport, ballparked Lloyd's earnings in the low to mid-six figures range per deal.
