National Bowling Day is Aug. 8.

Cuz it's one, two, three strikes ... a turkey?

No, not the food. Three strikes in a row are what bowlers refer to as a "turkey." And with Saturday being National Bowling Day, it's time to brush up on the game's lingo.

In honor of the holiday, why not put down the Wii remote and get out and partake in some real bowling?

Grab some friends, lace up those sexy bowling shoes and have at it. Check out these six local spots to get your bowl on.
